Windows, Mac, Linux - What's your preference and why?

Should I answer this question? I probably should, because I complain about the issue enough. My answer: All three. And on an almost daily basis. Why do I complain about it so much? BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL JUST COMPUTERS. One won't make you a better user than anyone else by merit of it's operating system or hardware alone. More annoying, maybe, but if you want to become better, the only thing that matters is what you do with the fucking hunk of shit. I hope everyone knew that already, though.
How many computers do you have in your house?

Shameless geek bait!
surprisingly, only 2. and it's two only if i bring home my iBook. it would be three if i had my shuttle at home, but being employed by a stingy startup, i had to bring my own equipment into work back in the day. they should be able to afford to buy me an actual work computer now, but I don't think it is a priority on their list. that's ok, though, since i don't really need another computer in the house.
What was the highlight of this past weekend?
It was pretty awesome when I payed for a round of drinks with my credit card on friday night and accidentally put the adjusted total after tip in the tip field of the receipt instead of in the total field, thus effectively tipping the bartender as much as the entire order. That was a nice little shock to see on my online bank statement sunday morning. Luckily, this has probably happened more than one, so the bar owner was pretty forgiving when I called them this morning and smoothed things over without complaint. Still, I think I'll stick to paying with cash from now on.
What's the one CD that will totally remind you of the Summer of 2006?
I'm hoping it will be whatever Modest Mouse releases in August. Or September. Or whenever. I just hope they actually release it.
Believe it or not, probably in my mother's hometown of Weeping Water, Nebraska. Mostly because it was unsafe and LOUD. They had all the usual goodies, exploded at what seemed like an alarmingly low altitude, and every once in a while they launched up something that did nothing more than explode, like a stick of dynamite or something, and it literally shook the ground and made the air in your lungs vibrate. They know how to blow stuff up real good in NE.
There was also a real live ice cream social in the middle of town that day. Men cried openly during the singing of the national anthem, and in church the preacher gave a sermon about the evils of rap music. It was a real slice of americana, I tells ya.
You read this now. It was actually worse than it sounds. I should write a follow up of how I got conned out of that $50, too.
I would lose my shit for moon patrol. I think I just really liked the artwork on the side of the machine. That, and the noise it made when the little car jumped was cool, too. Now, I am actually trying to wean myself off of video games, due to a small counter-strike:source problem I had last year. That, and endlessly upgrading hardware to meet game demands is getting a little old. However, the DS lite is beconing...
Birth: Disco Lady - Johnnie Taylor? I don't think I even know this song.
21st: Can't Nobody Hold Me Down - Puff Daddy featuring Ma$e. Ha, I don't think I know this one, either.
Nor do I know the one from this year. Man, can I get less-mainsteam? Indie from birth, yo.
I know I'm late on this one, but I have nothing else to blog, therefore I recycle old QOTDs.
This is a tough one, since some of the old things that I own come with no hard production dates on them, but I think it would have to be my grandfather's Air Force-issued parka, straight out of WWII. He was the flight navigator and turret gunner on a B-17G, and wore this jacket during service, as evidenced by some flak burns on the back of it. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a lot of style, so I almost never wear it, but what it does have is some serious history, which is more that I can say about most of my belongings, let alone my wardrobe.
